a special wedding day

This was a special and amazing wedding day, Nat is Thai and Justina is a HK gal, this video not simply showing their wedding moment but also their story. in the video, I put some footage of interview into the video, it makes the highlights more funny and charming. pls enjoy.

Equipment for 5D MK2

My Camcorder EOS 5d MK2 is a good tool to capture nice footage during a wedding, not surprised that the new Ironman2 and Harry Potter already using 5D MK2 to take some shots(yes of course I dont think they will use 5D MK2 to take all shots in Hollywood film). however due to the mic jack of 5d MK2 is still 3.5mm input, the audio quality is still not at a satisfactory level. after doing some research, I ordered an audio recorder, Zoom H4N from TomLee and it just arrived, I hope the quality of sound can be improved.

Childhood Video(成長片段）is a traditional but common video for hk styled wedding during march-in, sometimes boring.... here below is a video played during last night's wedding banquet, the video was done by myself and with another videographer, Jack two months ago. the idea was covering the scene of childhood episode and also with some interview/outdoor footage.

DSLR Video Workshop

just finished the 4 days DSLR Video course from Muse studio, this was a great chance for me to enhance my DSLR Video technique and most important is meeting those 5D MK II videographers. Muse is a knowledgeable and charming artist, he shared his ideas and skills on DSLR Videos. as I always said, using DSLR to shoot HK local wedding is rare but I believe 5D MK II(or 1D MKIV) is the trend to shoot high quality wedding video. thanks Muse and the team, that was interesting and enjoyable!!

Amazed natural sun-light

Couples always ask us if we could take some video/photo at somewhere out-door during the early evening time-break. for example, the 1881 heritage/the Hong Kong Park/Central old district, etc. of course they are nice place however we always have some counter suggestions, like somewhere the couple's living places, or simply a hotel bedroom could be perfect. this job was taken at Langham Hotel and the natural sun-light was awesome.

This is the 2nd time interviewed by Wedding Magazine. This time we share more about our view on wedding day photography, some interesting experience on wedding day and our future plan of the team. The atmosphere is more relax comparing to 1st time's interview, we are not rookie at all, haha.

New

New means moving forward, breakthrough, and unique. This is quite obvious to photographer/videographer facing bottle-neck especially we are working for traditional but similar chinese wedding. I always think about how to breakthrough to another new stage. This month I will have a chance to attend a DSLR Video course, will definitely bring all my client with an all-new image of wedding video. stay tuned...
